This case study explores the comprehensive redesign and development of book.pokajimi.com—an e-commerce platform dedicated to children’s literature. The primary challenge was to transform a fragmented shopping journey into a cohesive, high-conversion brand experience. By implementing a custom-engineered WooCommerce workflow, including a bespoke cart and checkout system, we established a seamless path to purchase that reflects the brand’s playful yet professional identity.
web redesign and development
2026

The project began with a deep dive into the user journey of parents and educators. We identified significant friction points in the default shopping flow that hindered conversions. The strategy focused on building a “sticky” shopping experience, ensuring that “Add to Cart” actions were intuitive and that the brand’s unique visual language remained consistent from the homepage to the final payment confirmation.
The design phase was centered on bringing order to the visual chaos. We developed a unified design system that harmonized typography, color palettes, and interactive elements. Every touchpoint was refined to ensure that the interface felt like a natural extension of the Pokajimi brand, emphasizing readability, accessibility, and a joyful user interface that builds trust with the customer.
To showcase technical expertise, we moved beyond standard templates by developing a custom WooCommerce architecture. This included:
Bespoke “Add to Cart” Logic: Re-engineered buttons to provide instant, non-disruptive feedback.
Custom Cart Experience: A streamlined slide-out or dedicated cart page designed to reduce abandonment.
Optimized Checkout: A simplified, single-page checkout flow that stripped away distractions, ensuring a fast and secure transaction process tailored to the brand’s specific shipping and tax requirements.

The result is a high-performance e-commerce platform that balances creative storytelling with technical precision. By modernizing the WooCommerce core and unifying the design language, we delivered a 2026-ready digital storefront that has significantly improved user engagement and streamlined the path to purchase for Pokajimi’s growing community.
