In this case study, I present the design and development process behind makasa.org — an e-commerce platform focused on natural cosmetics, essential oils, and holistic self-care. The objective was to create a visually clean, trustworthy, and conversion-oriented website that makes it easy for users to explore products, understand their benefits, and complete purchases with confidence, while supporting long-term growth through strong structure, SEO, and performance optimization.
web design, development and SEO
our first project
2019

The project began with an in-depth analysis of the brand, product range, and target audience interested in natural cosmetics and essential oils. Key priorities included building trust, clearly communicating product benefits, and supporting SEO-driven growth. Based on this research, a structured content and category strategy was defined to guide both design and development decisions.
The design phase focused on creating a calm, natural visual identity that reflects the values of the brand. Special attention was given to product presentation, readability, and intuitive navigation. The user experience was optimized to help customers easily find relevant products, understand ingredients and usage, and move smoothly through the purchase process.
During development, the website was built with scalability, performance, and maintainability in mind. E-commerce functionality was carefully implemented, including product filtering, structured product pages, and optimized checkout flow. Ongoing optimizations were applied to improve loading speed, mobile usability, and SEO readiness.

The final result is a fully functional e-commerce platform that successfully combines aesthetics, usability, and performance. makasa.org delivers a clear and trustworthy shopping experience, supports organic traffic growth through strong structure and SEO foundations, and provides a scalable system capable of expanding product lines, content, and functionality over time.
